Description

Over the course of the pandemic, increased workload was reported by 70% of teachers, and 95% are worried about the impact on their wellbeing. In addition, 372,438 children and young people were referred to CYP mental health services between April and December last year, which is up by 28% on 2019.

Installing effective plans to maintain student and staff engagement with protecting their mental health is vital as schools return to a regular timetable amidst still-present concerns over physical and mental wellbeing. It is imperative to act now to enable students, and staff, to benefit from a healthier school culture that promotes wellbeing as integral to its ethos.

Running over two sessions, this online training programme is packed full of content that will leave delegates with practical resources to tackle student anxiety, resilience, and self-regulation in order to develop and embed the school’s positive mental health legacy. Attendees will gain confidence in escalating mental health issues, and know they are acting with the correct procedure after a year of disruption.

In addition, this conference will provide delegates with practical methods to ensure both students and staff are in the best possible place to face the future with positivity. Equip staff with the tools to emerge from the other side of the pandemic and feel confident in the development and care of their own, and their students’, mental health.

Delegates may expect:
• Resources - gain access to a multitude of practical sessions alongside take away resources before, during, and after the event to ensure continuous support
• Practical strategies - build resilience, support transition and gain new approaches to support students experiencing grief, bereavement and anxiety
• Support for students and teachers - hear from expert practitioners and benefit from the latest research.
