This online training is aimed at all those who are new to assessing and the assessment process. The event is appropriate for all staff who would like to know and learn more about the procedures involved in delivery, assessment and feedback for both regulated and non-regulated qualifications.

During the session, participants will be able to gain an understanding of a variety of different formative and summative assessment processes, sharing thoughts and ideas as to how methods need to be adapted to meet the needs of the learner, the group, the provider and the Awarding Organisation. There will be plenty of time for interacting with other participants to scrutinise the methods discussed and to ask questions to clarify your understanding, especially now we are working in a world where online and blended modes of delivery and assessment have become more commonplace.

The session will also provide a valuable opportunity to understand the role of the assessor and how it fits into the bigger picture in terms of registration, standardisation, verification and accreditation. The event will also highlight the importance of ensuring that relevant policies and procedures are followed to guarantee a successful outcome is achieved for all stakeholders involved, ensuring that your learners are suitably stretched and challenged in order for them to achieve their full potential and beyond.
