Full of practical ideas which will explore how working memory works and how to capitalise on this knowledge, attendees will explore different types of memory and their uses and applications in the classroom. 

From retrieval practice to the role of emotion, narrative and movement in learning, delegates will be offered ways forward that can be applied in both primary and secondary teaching. 

These classroom strategies are supported by a wide range of research and evidence with much of the day set aside for practical application. 

Techniques will allow children to retain information in the long term, to theories about how human beings learn - the proof will be in the pudding.

With 45 years in education between them, Ross Morrison McGill and Dr Debra Kidd will share successes from their own teaching as well as helping attendees to understand how this looks in practice.
