Countdown to Reservations End Date
Following the new Ofsted framework, inspectors will be looking for evidence that “the curriculum and the school’s wider work support pupils to develop character” (Schools Week).
Amanda Spielman has announced plans to eliminate judgements on personal development, behaviour and welfare. Schools will instead be examined separately on the behaviour and attitudes of pupils, and secondly their personal development.
Constructive and regular personal development and wellbeing sessions will help improve academic attainment and help pupils develop into healthy and resilient young adults. Despite the benefits and reinforcements that come from effective personal development, schools are constrained both by a need to prioritise academic learning and the lack of resources and funds to improve personal development provision.
This one day conference will provide up-to-date and practical strategies that demonstrate the new Ofsted framework, as well as helping provide sufficient personal development provision for students without hampering their academic needs.
Delegates may expect in-depth keynotes with a choice of workshops including:
• Ofsted - gain guidance on evidencing the impact of the new Ofsted framework
• curriculum design - develop your curriculum to meet both personal development and academic needs
• resilience - capacity building resilience strategies to help manage pressure.
