Event Details
Description
Most teachers will be able to say that feedback matters, but few are sure about what type of feedback and what conditions make any feedback episode beneficial to learning or performance.
This session is targeted predominantly for teachers who are looking for practical ideas in the classroom. The content will also suit school leaders who wish to broaden their knowledge of the available research on feedback and how it may shape teaching and learning pedagogy across their institution.
Ross will cover 5 practical ideas which are grounded in classroom practice, educational research and cognitive science. Ideas include modelling, questioning, whole-class feedback, feedback variables and a closer look at the verbal feedback project conducted by Ross and his work with University College London.
