Description

Recognised as the flagship national apprenticeship conference for employers and providers, this two day event is set to provide business-critical updates, advice, and keynotes for those involved in the delivery of apprenticeships.

This years principal theme is: Building Back Better with Apprenticeships and takes place during a critical period for the UK as we emerge from the pandemic.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has made it clear that apprenticeships and skills will form a key pillar of his government’s recovery strategy. The full impact of the pandemic, economically, is becoming more apparent. The effect on apprenticeship recruitment can already be seen. In the run-up to this year’s conference, there is expected to be plenty of discussion around policy and funding changes to the apprenticeships system.

AAC 2021 will provide a timely and essential gathering for those involved with the design & delivery of apprenticeships.

Broadcaster and journalist, Amol Rajan, will chair the event, including all plenary sessions and interviews with keynote speakers. Details are as follows:
• Over two days delegates will have access to six plenary sessions, bringing together AAC delegates for high-level talks and discussions
• Delegates can expect to hear from government ministers and lead civil servants, who will use the conference to provide essential updates
• Sessions will also include representatives from the world of apprenticeships during thoughtful and insightful debates
• Plenary content will include, quality, funding, technology, assessment, policy and development
• AAC workshops are intended to provide delegates with essential updates and ideas, with 60 workshop options to pick from, all lasting 45 minutes
• Workshops will be curated in partnership with key organisations and individuals working within the apprenticeship sector
• Workshops will be provided from government departments and agencies, colleges, training providers and employers.
