This one day conference will focus on initial teacher training in England, and next steps for providers as they prepare for the reaccreditation process following the ITT market review.

It follows the publication of the Government’s response to the review, with requirements for training curricula and their scope beyond core content, placements, and mentoring structures.

Keynote contributions will be from:
• Ian Bauckham, CEO, Tenax Schools Trust and Chair, ITT Market Review Group
• Professor Samantha Twiselton, Member, ITT Market Review Group and Director, Sheffield Institute of Education, Sheffield Hallam University.

Stakeholders and policymakers will discuss latest thinking and issues for implementation on curriculum design, the provision of school placements, and the development and coordination of mentoring.

The conference will also be an opportunity to consider:
• the future of ITT partnerships, including the identification of new partners
• the development of quality assurance arrangements
• the future structure of the sector.
