Description

With Relationship, Sex and Health Education in schools now statutory, how do teachers and leaders enhance these new statutory areas to support children’s mental health?

Throughout Covid-19, "most primary schools were focused on the differences in progress between pupils. For secondary schools, it was pupils’ emotional and mental health. As we emerge from the pandemic, schools leaders report that the plan to make "changes to curriculum content and need further cross-sector work to address the wide-reaching impacts of worsening inequalities in education." Supporting pupil mental health features high on the agenda... (DfE, 2022)

Schools that are looking to enhance their RSE provision to include all the new statutory changes continue to use in-house expertise, but sometimes they need to look externally to find resources; ideas that are trusted, tried and tested.

1decision supports and encourages children and young people to look after their bodies and minds by focussing on areas such as healthy eating, regular exercise, reduced screen time, sufficient sleep and more.

From early years mapping and teacher training to endless resources and videos for pupils, parents and teachers, 1decision is perfect for statutory obligations and education recovery.

Delegates will learn more about what 1decision do, and how schools and pupils can benefit from their free and paid-for resources, including:
• How to assess personal development needs (gaps in their knowledge)?
• How to evidence pupils' individual successes?
• A quality assurance review of the relationships resources on offer.

Hosted by Ross Morrison McGill and Hayley Sherwood, founder and director of 1decision, attendees will learn more about the range of resources available.
