Countdown to Start Date
Event Details
Description
This seminar will bring together key policymakers and stakeholders from across the education sector to consider the future funding of England’s schools and priorities for improving financial efficiency.
Delegates will consider the challenges for implementing the formula, including the key implications for different types of schools, disadvantaged pupils and those areas of England which will receive reduced funding. Sessions will also cover other key issues, including the effects of inflation on school budgets.
Those attending will also assess the implications of funding reform on other areas of education, including those from which the school funding cash boost will be derived - such as the free schools programme and the provision of school meals, as well as reforms to High Needs Funding and their potential impact on provision for SEND pupils in mainstream education.
Keynote speakers include Lucy Powell MP, Member, Education Select Committee; and Michelle Doyle Wildman, Acting Chief Executive, PTA UK.
