Description

The aim of this event is to inspire, excite and inform pupils about history whilst providing a wide range of curriculum-based subjects, drawing on leading historians, inspirational communicators, and the very best living historians around.

The event will be held over three days split between different age groups as follows:
• Tuesday 26th June – Years 6,7 & 8
• Wednesday 27th June – Years 10 & 12
• Thursday 28th June – Years 6, 7, 8 & 9.

The two days for ten to fourteen year-olds, will include a fully immersive and interactive programme of wide-ranging subjects from which teachers will be able to choose. Using expert historians and living historians together with a mass of genuine historical artefacts, pupils will be able to learn about day-to-day living and lifestyles, as well as warfare, crime and evolving technology, in a way that complements and expands the history curriculum.

The day for Years 10 and 12 will include a range of immersive living history and an incredible line-up of leading historians covering and expanding many of the principle GCSE and A-level history topics.
