Delegates will discuss key issues identified by the STEM strategy including next steps for improving participation and changing perception toward STEM education and careers amongst underrepresented groups such as women and girls, ethnic minorities and disabled students.

Further sessions will focus on the initiatives designed to improve the delivery of STEM education within schools and colleges, including improving STEM literacy amongst the teaching workforce so that educators are better equipped to support students, and developing new pathways into teaching for STEM graduates - following the recent announcement of a new £20,000 bursary for those training to become teachers in STEM subjects.
