This online event will provide advice for school leaders and managers in Wales to ensure teaching assistants and learning support assistants feel heard when time to talk is at a minimum.
Teaching and learning support assistants play a crucial role in schools. When time to talk is at a minimum it can be workplace wellbeing that suffers. This fully-funded workshop offers practical advice on how to listen well to ensure your teaching and learning support assistants feel heard and understood.
During this interactive session you will:
• Gain a deeper understanding of how to help people feel heard
• Explore active listening techniques
• Learn how to start and close a conversation about mental health and wellbeing
• Learn practical strategies to promote wellbeing
• Learn practical strategies to cascade for positive wellbeing when experiencing stress, anxiety or worry
