Description
According to The Workplace Health Report, 76% of employees in the UK reported experiencing some levels of work-related stress, causing levels of productivity and absenteeism at work to be affected. Cultivating a positive and healthy workplace culture that empowers employees to thrive and encourages good wellbeing is important to enable and maintain a happy and motivated workforce.
Effectively promoting and supporting the mental health of your staff not only protects the wellbeing and happiness of your workforce but has wider benefits to your organisation, including reduced stress levels, increased productivity, improved retention, and cost savings. In the public sector, poor mental health costs employers on average £1716 per person annually, based on research by Deloitte.
This one day online training course will enable attendees across the public sector to evaluate and develop the ways they support staff at work, with a view to ensure their workforce is supported, engaged, efficient and productive.
Attendees will leave the day better able to identify their organisations wellbeing needs and understand what they can do to implement change, support employee wellbeing, build resilience and improve the performance of their workforce.
Learning Outcomes:
• Review strategies to embed an effective and inclusive culture of wellbeing and support that transcends across the whole workforce and employee lifecycle
• Reflect on your organisations policies and practices, learning ways to enhance the recognition of mental health in all your organisational processes and systems going forward
• Consider the changes that can be implemented in your workplace to improve understanding of women’s health, ensuring you are well equipped to support your male and female colleagues
• Learn how to adopt a proactive approach to mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, moving away from reactive approaches.
Delegates will have opportunities to engage in break out groups throughout the day to facilitate interactive discussions and share experiences and valuable insights with each other.
