This webinar looks at where literacy starts and how leaders can support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision to lay the foundations for great outcomes in literacy across primary.

The session will support senior and middle leaders to understand the pedagogy and framework that underpins quality early years practice in literacy. It will consider the role of leaders in supporting this practice so that all children have the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to do well in KS1 and beyond.

Participants will:
• have a greater understanding of literacy in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the links to prime areas of learning
• consider ways that leadership can best support great outcomes in literacy in the EYFS
• reflect on leadership of EYFS to ensure that the curriculum builds from a strong start in the early years.
