This one day online conference will focus on writing and how teachers can inspire children to find their authentic writing voice whilst developing their accuracy and skills.
Michael Rosen, multi-award-winning author, performance poet, broadcaster, columnist, academic, and former Children’s Laureate will head up our programme of keynote speeches and workshops aimed to provide inspiration for successful writing teaching.
The workshop programme will cover a wide range of topics including: writing for authentic purpose and audience, the reading-writing connection, developing an inclusive writing curriculum and enabling children to establish their unique writing voice.
Delegates will be able to return to school galvanised and empowered develop strategic vision and leadership across their whole school and with a wealth of practical strategies to apply immediately within the classroom to enhance children’s experiences of writing including:
• practical ideas to inspire young writers
• updated understanding on current research and good practice
• effective ways to support all writers, no matter their age, stage, background or current attainment
• strategies for developing a holistic and cohesive approach to writing in your school
• strategies to empower all children to be motivated, effective writers
• strategies for ensuring that children are involved in their own authentic writing process, feeling confident in their own voices.
