The Division of Politics and International Studies Innovative Pedagogy hub at University of Glasgow is hosting a Best Practice in Social Sciences Teaching workshop to showcase seminars or lectures that demonstrate high-quality, innovative, and imaginative teaching, so that colleagues can share (and discover) what has been proven to work best in the classrooms and develop new ideas for their own teaching going forward.

Presenters deliver a real 45-60 minute seminar or lecture (that they have previously delivered to a class of students) to a classroom of fellow educators from mixed academic backgrounds. Presentations come from various thematic and subject areas within the broader social sciences (i.e. Economic and Social History, Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Public Policy, Area Studies etc.).

Subsequent to the presentation, there will be time for a Q&A session, where attendees can engage with the presenter/teacher. Lessons do not require any prior preparation from attendees.
