Description

This one day in-person conference is designed to support and strengthen leadership across the 16–19 phase. The event is suitable for current and aspiring sixth form leaders, offering a valuable opportunity to develop leadership capability and explore how to build and sustain a culture of high performance for all learners.

Delegates will gain practical insights, hear from leading experts across post-16 education, and engage in professional dialogue focused on the challenges and opportunities facing sixth forms today.

The programme has been carefully designed to combine strategic thinking with practical application, supporting leaders to:
• Lead high-performing Sixth Form provision
• Respond confidently to current policy and curriculum developments
• Prepare learners effectively for future pathways
• Consider the role of emerging technologies, including AI, in post-16 education.

Key speakers include:
• Martin Griffin, author of The A Level Mindset and The VESPA Handbook, sharing evidence-informed strategies and approaches for teaching for high grades
• Claire Green, Post-16 & Skills Policy Specialist at the Association of School and College Leaders, providing a post-16 curriculum and policy update
• Ross Sanger, Schools and Colleges Success Partner at UCAS, delivering an update on the UCAS 2026/27 cycle
• Tom Wade, Haileybury School, and Fiona Tobin, HFL Education, leading a panel discussion on the use of AI in post-16 study and beyond.
