The two day TEAN conference offers an opportunity for teacher educators from HEIs, schools, further education and all organisations involved with teacher education from the UK and beyond to come together to debate and share inspiration.
The 2019 conference title – Celebrating the inspiration of the professional teacher educator – was inspired by discussions at both the 2017 and 2018 TEAN conferences where the theme of professionalism was a recurring leitmotiv, high on the agenda for both teachers and teacher educators. Delegates are invited to share their inspirations about their role as a professional teacher educator.
The TEAN conference offers an opportunity for colleagues to spend time together to share great practice and ideas. In a supportive and welcoming atmosphere delegates will be able to share ideas with an appreciative audience who will both encourage and challenge.
Keynote speakers include:
• Dr Eline Vanassche, a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow at the University of East London, former Assistant Professor at Maastricht University and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Leuven
• Professor Linda Clarke, Research Director – Education at the University of Ulster.
The conference is aimed at all practitioners working in teacher education from the UK and beyond (international colleagues are most welcome), and all other agencies with a professional interest in teacher education. The focus is on schools and school colleagues involved in teacher education are welcome, however, transferable knowledge from other sectors is most welcome and offers further enrichment of the conference content.
