Higher education is a key part of the landscape for post-18 colleges and an important progression route from level 3 qualifications for young people and adults seeking to enter or update in the workplace.

This webinar will explain higher education, how it is funded and what opportunities exist to develop vocational and technical higher education to meet the aspirations of local skills and improvement plans. It will introduce how higher education can be developed from level 3 provision according to market need and how it supports higher apprenticeships, full-time and part-time learners in the workplace.

The session will use a hands-on approach to outline and explain how to achieve and maintain high-quality provision in higher education. In particular, what high quality means and looks like in terms of vocational and technical higher education provision, including higher apprenticeships.

Participants will:
• understand the areas for development of HE in 2023 and beyond
• explore the importance of technical and vocational HE to the post-18 portfolio
• gain knowledge of growth areas in technical and vocational HE.

There will also be the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with other attendees.
