This online conference will examine the prospects and next steps for the growth of green jobs in the UK.

Delegates will look at what will be needed from government - as well as from education, training, and industry stakeholders - to facilitate retraining opportunities and tackle critical green skills gaps in the UK workforce.

It will be an opportunity to assess the issues in the context of the significant policy drive from the Government to prepare the workforce for a green economy, and ensure jobs and skills support net-zero ambitions.

Delegates will assess the way forward if the Government’s goal of creating 2m green jobs by 2030 is to be met - including drawing on recommendations laid out by the Green Jobs Taskforce and the Environmental Audit Committee.

The chair of the Environmental Audit Committee, Philip Dunne MP, has kindly agreed to chair a session at this conference.

• education and vocational training - including coordination across the sectors
• the role of the private sector - supporting businesses, and attracting public and private investment
• lifelong learning - boosting provision of retraining opportunities and support for the workforce.
