Description
The Research Further webinars not only introduce the work of the scholars, they also offer hands-on, practical help for anyone interested or involved in research across the UK. Whether interested in the areas of research the scholars are focusing on, a researcher, or work in a college and would like to dip a toe in the water with a smaller project, these workshops are for you.
Taking place across three events, the details of these webinars are as follows:
Webinar 1 – Scoping your project (Tuesday 24 May – 16:00 – 17:00)
• Workshop – An introduction to mapping a research project – Bryony Evett Hackfort, Director of Learning, Teaching, Technology and Skills for Coleg Sir Gar and Coleg Ceredigion
• Research Further scholars – what are they working on and how did they scope their projects?
Sian Mantovani, York College – A study exposing the blind spot in institutional awareness of the experience of students of colour in a predominantly white college
Caroline Dunstan, Riverside College – A study investigating the impact of self and peer analysis of recorded lessons on quality of teaching
Katie Stafford, New City College – How does a college’s organisational culture impact on teachers’ engagement with their professional learning
