This training course will examine the future for transnational education partnerships in China post-Covid-19, considering the legal, financial, academic, and ethical implications for UK universities working in China today. Delegates will have the opportunity to examine the logistical requirements for developing new programmes and continuing relationships with Chinese partners, as well as discussing the concerns raised by Covid-19 and the current international landscape.

As many UK universities have already developed their partnerships with Chinese institutions, and with Chinese students making up 38.7% of international students in the UK in 2019/20 (HESA), developing and nurturing partnerships with China is a key strategic objective for UK higher education providers.
