This webinar will introduce participants to a Personal Development programme for Health and Care staff as developed by Health Education England. The Higher Development Award was designed in London and has been rolling out to other regions over the past year. College engagement is crucial for delivery of the qualifications which make up this really popular programme and Functional/digital skills also.
The main advantages of the programme are:
• Support Workers accessing it are: "Raising their potential and being the best, they can be
• Provides a pre-entry access to study/ESOL and personal development for those at E1-E3
• Based on ILM Level 2 & L3 programmes providing credit value for progression (other qualifications can also be used)
• Open to Clinical and non-clinical support staff however no clinical teaching or health specific knowledge is required as the learner sets the context
• Funding drawn down from AEB
• Opportunity to engage with local NHS and Social Care partners to provide a wealth of programmes and possible recruitment avenues.
