The govenment's second annual State of the Nation report indicates that the majority of children generally responded with resilience to the difficulties that they have encountered over the past 12 months and that the role teachers have played in this has been invaluable.

However, with both teachers and students having to adapt to so many changes, both inside and outside the school grounds, there is a risk that some fall through the cracks.

This one day event is designed to look at the wellbeing needs of students, while also recognising that in order to look after their welfare, it is imperative that the wellbeing needs of staff is catered for and supported successfully.

A wide range of topics will be covered, with a focus on creating a nurturing environment that supports the wellbeing needs of staff and students alike, including:
• ensure a clarity of communication that provides staff, students and parents with clear information and expectations
• embed a supportive culture that creates a positive environment for all
• reflect on the instability of the past 12 months and the lessons that have been learned throughout the sector and beyond
• hear from professionals and develop knowledge to ensure best practice.
