Description

This webinar will discuss why remote leadership and management needs to be in the curricula. Delegates will get some top tips about how to embrace blended working patterns and enhance virtual management and leadership skills.

The likelihood is that most employers are looking to stay working remotely in one way or another. A recent pan-global workforce survey showed that 85% of employees are looking for their employers to offer some kind of flexible and blended working as part of their employee value proposition.

The World Economic Forum Future of Skills report 2020 lists the top 10 skills of the future, eight of the ten are digital, including management and leadership. The two ‘non-digital’ which make up the ten are communication and empathy. It could be argued that these could be digital skills in the future too.

Because of this their expectation will be that L3, L5, L6 or L7 offering will address this and set up their managers and leaders to be able to perform virtually. This means managing teams, strategy, and themselves when sometimes they may never meet in person the people they are working with.

These new skills are key for not just learning and development, but HR, project managers, line managers and strategic leaders in this new normal and they will be looking to experts to lead the way, meaning that providers need to be walking the walk, as well as talking the talk.

The webinar will cover:
• Insight into organisation and workforce demands post-pandemic and how the blended working pattern is here to stay
• What skills, knowledge and behaviours have been enhanced with virtual management and leadership, and how these can be adjusted for various programmes
• What is needed to embrace this way of working as an employer, as teams will also be part of the 85% who are demanding future-proofed flexibility.

Objectives include:
• What does great remote leadership and management look like
• How does the curricula need to be amended to address this
• How can leaders w'alk the talk' themselves.
