Event Details
Description
Focus on Leading in Uncertain Times: This 24 hour residential alumni event is designed to ensure that FE Principals and CEOs have the skills and tools required to respond to leadership challenges that continue to grow in size and scale.
We will be joined by Dr Chris Kutarna, Fellow of the Oxford Martin School, and co-author of ‘The Age of Discovery: Navigating the Risks and Rewards of our New Renaissance’ who will share his perspectives on some of the mega-trends that are impacting the world of work and education
We know that the community greatly values the opportunity to step back and have time together with peers and we will be ensuring there is plenty of space for networking and reflection, as well as a celebratory dinner.
We believe that when programme alumni continue to share their learning and leadership insights within the organisational system and beyond, this develops leaders' capability. This is an opportunity for alumni from all Further Education Strategic Leadership (FESLP) cohorts to gather to share news, ideas, recruit support for their projects and run 'open space' sessions to continue to sustain the entrepreneurial spirit associated with the programme.
The Further Education Strategic Leadership Programme (FESLP) is designed to ensure that FE Principals and CEOs have the skills and tools required to respond to the leadership challenges that continue to grow in size and scale. Participating Principals and CEOs are equipped with a deeper understanding of their role as change agents and the critical part they play in delivering the ambitious plans for the FE sector. It applies thinking about leadership in the context of them as individuals, their organisation and the sector as a whole. There will be contributions from members of both the Further Education and Higher Education sectors.
Oxford Saïd Business School, will be delivering and facilitating discussion on leadership, strategy and governance in the context of Further Education. There will also be opportunities to reconnect with alumni from the FE Strategic Leadership Programme.
