Description

This online event will see the launch of the PSF 2023 and delegates will hear from speakers drawn from the global HE community about the importance of the key changes to the PSF and what they will enable.

The Professional Standards Framework for teaching and supporting learning in HE (PSF) has been underpinning both development and professional recognition since its introduction in 2004. Previously reviewed in 2011, the current version of the PSF is being used to support educational development in the broadest range of contexts; from Manchester to Muscat; from Bangkok to Brisbane; clinical education to college-based HE; and for curriculum reform and culture change – the PSF is supporting individuals and institutions to achieve their teaching and learning ambitions in increasingly diverse and global contexts.

Advance HE has facilitated a sector-led review of the PSF to build on its strengths while ensuring it reflects the dimensions of contemporary practice and is best placed to continue to support success.

Over the course of 2022, an independent sector-led Steering Group has overseen an evidence-based review, with a range of consultation events giving colleagues across the world a chance to contribute their views and shape the updated framework to make it fit for the future of global higher education.
