The Early Years Alliance (EYA) has launched a free Fair Funding campaign toolkit, which includes resources to help early years providers lobby local politicians about the need for government to significantly increase sector funding.
The toolkit also contains a range of materials to help providers explain the problems caused by the free childcare offer to parents and carers at their setting.
The package encourages local campaigning from providers and families to pressure the government to substanstially increase early years funding, as many settings suffer financial strain from underfunding and rising costs.
The toolkit includes a template letter to help providers raise concerns about underfunding to their local MP, and a second one for parents and carers to use. The toolkit also contains a template letter to assist providers in explaining fee increases to parents and carers.
