Disadvantaged children are missing out on childcare the most, according to Coram Family and Childcare‘s 22nd annual Childcare Survey 2023 published today (9 March 2023).
Only 18 per cent of local authorities reported sufficient childcare for children with disabilities - a three per cent decrease on the charity’s 2022 findings.
Almost half of local authorities reported that some or many of their local childcare providers have reduced the number of funded early education entitlement places they can provide.
