An education pressure group has called on head teachers to ditch an “inappropriate” lesson plan that tells primary school pupils it is acceptable to not want to identify as a boy or a girl.
Schools across the country have been issued with a learning resource entitled “Being Transgender” as part of lessons on Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood (RSHP).
Dr Stuart Waiton, a sociology lecturer who asserts it is “biologically impossible” for people to change sex, has written to school heads urging them not to teach lessons based on it.
The Abertay University academic, who chairs the Scottish Union for Education, which alleges that pupils are being indoctrinated by “woke” propaganda, asked heads: “Are you harming children by promoting a transgender ideology?”
