Dozens of organisations supporting children and young people have joined a new coalition planned to influence childcare policy.
The Early Education and Childcare Coalition, which officially launches on September 7, says it will use “our collective voice and robust research to build public and political support for a sector that underpins all of our lives”.
High profile organisations signed up to the coalition include Pregnant then Screwed, Coram Family and Childcare, Children England, the Early Years Alliance, the London Early Years Foundation, the National Day Nurseries Association and the Sutton Trust.
A statement on the its website reads: “We are united in our belief that real and lasting change can only be achieved through the focused and collaborative efforts of everyone with a stake in the future of early education.
