The chief executive of the London Early Years Foundation (LEYF), June O’Sullivan has been recognised for her achievements and contributions to early years education.
une O’Sullivan, chief executive of the London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) has been awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for outstanding contributions to services to education.
LEYF said the honour recognised Ms O'Sullivan’s ‘exceptional dedication and significant contributions to the early years and her work creating a sustainable social enterprise model of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECEC)’.
Ms O’Sullivan said: ‘This is another shared award with all of my LEYF colleagues in recognition of our work as a social enterprise, delivering the best-in-class early childhood care and education so that every child, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds and poorer neighbourhoods access high quality nurseries. We couldn’t be more delighted.’
