Early years organisations have criticised the Government’s Autumn Statement for giving no support to a sector at ‘crisis point’.
National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) said the Chancellor had announced 110 growth measures to support businesses, but that none of them would help the sector.
The Early Years Alliance criticised the Government for giving no additional support to the early years sector, following the increase in the national living and minimum wages coming into effect next year.
‘The Government seems to care more about pubs, shops, and the technology sector than our children’s futures’
