Rising numbers of parents are seeking legal advice as children as young as five are accused of sexual offences or harassment in schools.
Many of the inquiries being received by law firms involve parents anxious to clear their child’s name, or fight against an exclusion. But others have been seeking advice because their child is an alleged victim and they believe the school has failed to keep them safe.
It comes after a judge dismissed a request for a judicial review by the parents of a boy who was permanently excluded from school.
