The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has launched its refreshed Safeguarding and Prevent web pages. They feature the latest information, resources and guidance the Further Education (FE) and Training sector needs to engage with the Prevent duty, understand British Values, and prepare for the safeguarding aspects of an Ofsted inspection.
New content includes an introduction to the role and responsibilities of the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) and deputy designated safeguarding lead (DDSL) and the tools available to them. This features signposting to key pieces of legislation such as the Children Act 2004 and other support networks which can help embed Prevent and safeguarding throughout the FE sector.
