Sophie Molyneux — in common with so many — may have failed a maths exam, but she will know that 50,000 is a big number in cash.
The former apprentice digital media executive has been awarded more than £50,000 after she suffered victimisation and discrimination at work because she suffered from a condition that made maths “very difficult”.
Molyneux sued Apprentify, a company that sources apprenticeships, after she was sacked from a role at a business that provided training in digital skills.
An employment tribunal was told that Molyneux was forced to take a mock maths test two months before sitting a compulsory exam, which she said was unfair because she had dyscalculia.
