Sellafield Ltd’s award winning training programmes were once again praised in front of the nation’s nuclear skills leaders.
The annual UK Nuclear Skills Awards in Manchester highlight the stars of the present and future, and this year Matt Jackson, Thea Evans and Sellafield Ltd, along with Wigan and Leigh College were recognised in the Postgraduate of the Year, Advanced Apprentice of the Year and Best Training Provider and Employer Partnership respectively.
Matt, who is a technical manager in the Retrievals Value Stream, completed his PhD in nuclear engineering at The University of Leeds.
He said:
My PhD was a huge personal achievement. It’s great to be recognised for my contributions so far and I am glad to be able to continue working in support of the Sellafield mission.
