New college campuses in healthcare, digital and construction skills are among further education projects to secure more than £50 million of government levelling up cash.
The government published more than 140 winners of bids for Levelling Up Fund or Community Ownership Fund grants on Tuesday afternoon.
The fund aims to support local infrastructure and regeneration schemes, such as town centre revamps, bringing vacant spaces back into use, bolstering transport or highways infrastructure and cultural restoration projects.
Among the headline schemes in the further education sector are a handful of new college campuses or training centres in Bolton, Wolverhampton, Sunderland and Kent.
