Pupils face widespread disruption in the next two months after the UK’s biggest teaching union voted in favour of strike action.
Hundreds of thousands of teachers across England and Wales will walk out throughout February and March after the National Education Union (NEU) and the Government failed to come to a last-minute deal on pay.
The strikes mean the majority of schools in England and Wales will close or partially close on multiple days, with the action being a combination of national and regional walkouts.
The NEU is set to launch “on-and-off” strikes throughout February and March, affecting 23,000 schools.
