The Disabled Students’ Commission (DSC) was set up in 2020 as an independent group to develop and support the disabled student experience in higher education.
This report presents the findings of the short-term, high-level external evaluation of the three convening years. The evaluation was commissioned to understand the perceptions of the DSC within the higher education sector.
Research was carried out by conducting in-depth interviews with various stakeholders including students, and representatives from across the following organisation types: disability charities, higher education representative bodies and sector groups. Higher education disability practitioners also answered an online survey.
