LSE has retained its place as the top university in London and fourth in the UK in the Guardian’s Best UK Universities 2024 league table.
The School was also ranked highly across individual disciplines, coming top in Accounting. Eight other subjects were ranked in the top five including Geography; Anthropology; International Relations; Management; Government; Sociology and Social Policy; Philosophy; and Law. All ranked subjects came in the top six.
The rankings are based on a range of measures including teaching, student to staff ratio and career prospects.
LSE also recently came fifth overall in a new Daily Mail university league table and was ranked joint top in the UK for graduate salaries and second in the country for continuation rates.
