A left-wing academic has made bullying allegations against a colleague at a leading Scottish university who accused him of posting disinformation about the Ukraine war.
Vladimir Unkovski-Korica, a Serbian scholar at Glasgow University, lashed out at Joanna Szostek, a Russian propaganda expert, after she “fact-checked” his blog posts on the conflict.
The colleagues have been at loggerheads on Twitter/X for some time over Russia’s war against Ukraine.
In the most recent spat Szostek said language used by Unkovski-Korica — such as describing Ukraine as “terrain” which was critical to Russia’s great power status — was “Putinesque BS”.
She also criticised her colleague for denying that Russia was attempting to annihilate the Ukrainian state — by linking to Kremlin television broadcasts.
