Forensic science students have been warned that they will be exposed to images of murder and violence during their lectures amid fears the content could be “offensive or traumatising”.
The University of Exeter, like many other universities, has included a “content warning” on its forensic science course to prepare undergraduates for “material of a graphic nature.”
The warning reads: “The content of forensic science contains images, depictions and descriptions of murder, sexual assault, self-harm, violence and death that some students may find offensive and/or traumatising.”
