The Student Loans Company welcomed The Baroness Barran MBE, Minister for the School System and Student Finance, to officially open its new headquarters in Glasgow.
The Baroness was joined by SLC colleagues and representatives from the design and construction teams on Wednesday (10th April) to unveil a plaque to mark the occasion. She was also given a tour of the building which highlighted some of its key sustainability features, including the living wall, solar panels and cycle storage area.
SLC moved into the six story, 75,000 sq. ft purpose-built office in January and the building has been designed to encourage collaboration and provide a modern working environment for colleagues.
Welcoming the Baroness to Glasgow, Chris Larmer, CEO of SLC, said: “It’s a great day to have the Baroness officially open our new Glasgow headquarters. SLC has been in the city since its inception more than 30 years ago and relocating to Clyde Place has been an exciting new chapter for our organisation.
