Ghoulish tales of a mummified hand said to have healing powers have been given trigger warnings by a university worried about the “graphic” content.
Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking to protect students from trauma by flagging concerns about The Miracles of St James, a religious text about 800 years old. It has also warned of “outdated” language in a 1970s translation from the Latin.
