The vice-principal of Glasgow University has told an employment tribunal the institution is “not tainted by bias”.
Professor Frank Coton rebutted allegations that the university’s promotions system was skewed against women under cross-examination by Jeanette Findlay, who claims she was the victim of direct and indirect sex discrimination. The academic raised the action after her application to become a professor was rejected in 2020.
