UK universities are at risk of missing student growth targets as a result of reaching CAS limits meaning successful prospective international applicants cannot access student visas.
Stakeholders have warned that students are likely to be left disappointed by being asked to defer their places if they cannot apply for visas as a result of not receiving confirmation letters from their institutions that they need to submit when applying.
According to analysis by Enroly, as of August 22, visa issuance was up 110.48% year-on-year. This is compared with a 370% rise in July.
