The father of a student who took his own life has said there is more legal comeback if things go wrong “after buying a washing machine” than if families are let down by universities.
An inquest is due to start today into the death of Harry Armstrong Evans, 21, last summer. He became depressed after failing an exam during lockdown, his family claim, despite being on track for at least a 2:1 at Exeter University.
