The NASUWT-The Teachers’ Union has consulted its members over the latest pay offer from the Scottish Government. The majority of members responding voted marginally to accept the latest pay offer.
46% of members responding said they disagreed with or were angry about the latest offer whilst 39% said they were disappointed with the offer but believed that it was necessary in the circumstances. Just 13% said they agreed with the offer.
52% of members responding said the Union should accept the latest offer, whilst 48% said the NASUWT should reject the offer.
47% of members were concerned that the latest pay offer would have a negative impact on teacher morale, compared with 16% who said it would have a positive impact on morale.
