The campaign for a review into controversial sex education material taught in schools was boosted yesterday after it was revealed it would be independent.
Dozens of MPs had called for an urgent probe into what pupils are learning in Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) classes amid fears they are being subjected to 'inappropriate' content.
They include graphic lessons on 'oral sex, how to choke your partner safely and 72 genders,' MPs claim.
Miriam Cates, the Penistone and Stocksbridge MP, organised a letter backed by almost 50 politicians and warned that children are 'being taught about extreme and dangerous sex acts'.
The independent review is expected to include a 'range of experience' to 'capture a range of perspectives', the Mail understands.
Ms Keegan will today write to heads to remind them not to keep parents in the dark over sex education material.
